The Position
The Disability Service Worker will support an adult to gain independent living skills, including assistance with daily living activities (meal preparation, household chores, laundry, etc.) and community access (accessing transportation to educational, recreation and community programs/events). They also, mentor and advocate for the client and empower them to be self reliant and confident.

Physical/verbal behaviours can occur on a daily basis. Only applicants with previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities who have mental health concerns, behaviours and/or trauma will be considered for this position.

In Your Role You Will
  • Support individuals to build life skills and social/occupational skills, independence and encourage participation and social interaction within the community.
  • Manage and deescalate physical/verbal behaviours
  • Teach/assist the client with daily household tasks (food preparation, laundry, cleaning, etc) and personal care (grooming, dental care, bathing, toileting)
  • Drive individual in your own vehicle to appointments, day programs, community events, etc..

The HD Mechanic will be responsible for effectively performing maintenance and service of property, equipment, and vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily maintenance of property, equipment (i.e., Trucks and Trailers), and vehicles throughout the facility;

Hiring - Local Pipefitter Foreperson
Graham Construction (Integrated-Constructors) is looking for a Pipefitter Foreperson to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop. This is a temporary, full-time position on a 5/2 rotation with 48 hours per week.

Responsilbities:

* Able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.
* Experienced pipefitter journeyperson with skills and ability to lead team of journeypersons and apprentices. Assigning daily tasks and performing front line supervision for a crew of 8 to 12 workers.
* Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities. Complete daily activity reports/daily logs and submit to Supervisor
* Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package , document heat numbers, cutting pipe, prep fittings, prepping dlegs/trunnions.
* Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked, Tacking experience required
* Promote and ensure the FLRA (Field Level Risk Assessment) process is conducted before every task with the crew. Review weekly servicing and preventative maintenance schedules.
* Report back to the clients and/or the Project Manager on the progress of the job, the estimated time to completion and employee evaluations.
* Ensure all new hires/transfers receive required orientations. Attend and participate in site specific orientations
* Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate patent pending ACU Cementing Unit in Alberta, Saskatchewan and B.C.
The ACU is climate controlled and nearly fully automated, and unlike any other CNA in design
Assist with specialty daytime cementing operations, no night-time primary work
All of Challenger's equipment is new and top of the line KW and Peterbilt trucks with Cummins ISX power and 18 speed transmissions, applicants must be familiar with manual transmission
Provide assistance to the field engineer

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicable safety tickets
Class 1 and clean abstract minimum
Extremely proficient driving skills, capable of dealing with mud, hills and long highway drives
Previous oilfield driving experience preferred
Mechanically and technically inclined
Ability to work with minimal supervision

PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Able to follow direction
Mechanical and maintenance skills to perform on the ACU

Hiring - Mechanic
Pioneer Rentals & Sales (Pioneer Offroad Rentals) Bonnyville is looking to hire an additional experienced mechanic for light/medium duty trailer repairs. A licensed technician is preferred however we are willing to work with an experienced individual that possesses the knowledge required for the position. A good understanding of 12v electrical circuitry and mechanical knowledge is a must. Welding and fabrication experience is an asset but not a requirement. Applicant must also be willing to work on offroad recreational equipment such as Argo’s and ATV’s when required. This position is full time Mon – Fri, with an on-call rotation and occasional paid overtime. Company benefits and work boot allowances available. Laundered uniforms provided.

Trailer Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose issues in light and medium duty trailers
