Little Warriors Stewards of Children Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program -9:00am- 12:00pm May 7

Learn how to better protect children from sexual abuse by attending a three hour Stewards of Children training session. The mission is to teach adults how to help prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. You will receive a handbook and a certificate of attendance.

The Practice of Mindfulness - 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. May 5

This one day introduction in Mindfulness is an invitation to peacefully befriend your Self through the practice of Mindfulness, through awareness. This one day workshop offers opportunity to practice Mindfulness in a variety of ways:

• Guided breathing techniques in silence, in visualization and in stillness
• Awareness of our relationship to body movement, eating, thinking and senses/emotions 
• Awareness of how the practice of Mindfulness can be practiced at home, at work and at play
• Awareness of the value of taking time to practice Mindfulness in an ever-changing world.

Dress comfortably, bring a lunch and a blanket(s) for floor exercises

Fire Arms Safety - 8:30 - 4:30 p.m. Sat, April 14

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is a requirement for those who wish to apply for a Possession Acquisition License (PAL) in Canada. The course consists of instruction in the safe handling, storage and transportation of non-restricted firearms. The course will cover the entire legal requirements that firearm owners have to meet in order to comply with the laws in place governing firearm use, storage and transportation. A written and practical exam to follow upon completion of the course.

This workshop will help you understand the art of digital camera handling.
